LT 716 Systematic Design of Instruction
Leadership in Technology - Final Project
For the final project in LT 716, I was assigned to create a professional development presentation that would be beneficial to my fellow peers at the elementary school level. At the time of this project our Elementary building was on the SINA list for our reading scores. The idea about this professional development was to provide teachers with strategies to help assess lower elementary students reading comprehension. By using the forms discussed in this professional development teachers will learn how to fill out the reading assessment forms and how to teach their students to use the forms. This is a beneficial practice for lower elementary teachers to implement so they are able to gather individualized data on their students.
Along with providing me with the skills to develop future professional development opportunities; the MSET course objectives met by the project include the following.

apply learning theory and the principles of instructional design in curricular and instructional decision-making;
